Regional Sales Engineer

MECCO is currently seeking a motivated Regional Sales Engineer to drive sales in the southeast region of the United States. This role involves traveling to meet with clients, demonstrating our products, providing technical expertise, and helping to build and maintain client relationships. Ideal Candidate:
- Has outstanding communication skills.

- Is located in Southeast US (Georgia, South Carolina, etc.).
- Willing to travel frequently and on short notice.
Position Responsibilities:
- Travel to new and existing customers to perform equipment demonstration.
- Responsible for coordinating and managing own travel arrangements in compliance with company policy (travel mainly by car or by plane).
- Respond to customer needs and travel on short notice when necessary.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
- Manage opportunities within established territory from lead generation to closing the deal
- Work closely with the inside sales team to pursue new business opportunities in a competitive environment through research, client visits, and phone outreach.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and seek opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
- Maintain knowledge of products, services, competitive activity, and other general information of interest to clients.
- Recommend changes in services and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, researching industry trends, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
- Ability to travel frequently, at least 75% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license, as the employee will be required to travel frequently
- Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience with an emphasis on customer relations, preferably in a specialized manufacturing setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage, Mysis, and Salesforce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical background with the ability to communicate complex technical information to clients is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce (or a similar CRM) is a plus, as well as Microsoft office.
- Experience working with and understanding engineered products.
- Experience with laser marking products.
