An innovative SaaS renewable energy company is looking for an additional Technical Sales Engineer. If you're looking for an exceptional opportunity in the renewable energy sector, look not further. As part of the pre-sales technical team, you'll have a client facing and technical role where you will be at the intersection of sales, product and engineering.

Your day to day tasks:

  • Customer Engagement:

    Identify customer challenges and effectively communicate the value of our SaaS solutions, ensuring technical buy-in throughout the sales process.
  • Product Demonstrations & Proof of Concept:

    Deliver impactful product demos and tailored proofs of concept that align with customer needs.
  • Technical Consulting:

    Analyse customer use cases and map them to our SaaS offerings, ensuring optimal alignment and value.
  • Customer Feedback & Product Improvement:

    Collaborate with Product Management to share customer insights and recommend product enhancements.
  • Process Optimisation:

    Streamline workflows between Sales, Operations, and R&D to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • RFP & RFI Management:

    Lead technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, effectively showcasing our competitive advantage.

Job Description

Requirements

  • A degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Background in the Renewable Energy sector, either through work or academic experience.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in a technical sales engineer or related experience with familiarity in sales engineering processes and objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse data flows through FTP, API or SQL Data collectors, UI dashboards etc.
  • Experience with Javascript, Python, VBA
  • Experience with MySQL or other relational database management system.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with international clients.
  • A solid technical foundation coupled with strong commercial, analytical, and strategic abilities.
  • Independent and practical mindset, with experience managing accounts and coordinating with internal and external parties to achieve business goals.
  • Fluency in English
  • Additional language skills (e.g., Italian, Spanish, Portuguese) are a plus.
  • Based in Brussels or willing to relocate (You must have the right to work in Brussels/EU, there is no sponsorship available for this position)

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Engineering or Computer Science with strong data analysis skills
  • Good presentation skills and soft skills, ability to deal with a variety of customers
  • Previous relevant experience 
  • Technical Sales Engineering
